Front line types: what are they?

The capillary distribution of each person is different and, consequently, we can find several types of frontal hairline. Did you know how to identify them? We give you the keys to distinguish them!

What is meant by frontal hairline?

We understand as front hairline the shape that draws the hairline on the forehead. It is one of the most visible parts of the hair and its shape depends exclusively on the distribution of the hair that each person has.

The frontal capillary line can be altered in cases of androgenic alopecia and also in pathologies such as fibrosing frontal alopecia.

In androgenic alopecia, this line recedes until the well-known receding hairlines appear. However, at present this has a solution thanks to the hair graft.

Types of hairline frontal

No two front lines are exactly alike. However, these can be classified depending on the similarity in layout and shape.

Below we will tell you how many types of front line we can find and what they are.

Capillary front line according to its distribution

One of the classifications that could be used to distinguish the types of frontal line is according to their symmetry or distribution. Depending on whether the first stroke that draws the hairline is more regular or messy, we can be faced with a symmetrical frontal line or, on the contrary, an irregular frontal line.

symmetrical

Symmetrical forehead lines are those whose paths do not experience sudden changes in direction. It is made up of a smooth line which respects symmetry throughout its course.

Irregular

On the other hand, there are irregular frontal lines. Are do not have a smooth line, but it is abrupt and with slight changes of direction.

In these cases, the hairline does not follow an order and small peaks can be seen.

Front hairline according to its shape

Another aspect that can be considered differentiators for a list of frontline types out there is the shape they create. In this sense, we can find three types: high, widow's peak or with entrance.

high line

It could be said that those people whose hairline starts further back than usual They have a high front line. In these cases the forehead is greater, as well as the vertical distance between the eyebrows and the hair.

widow's peak

The widow's peak line is one that forms the silhouette of a heart. It is characterized by having a vertex in the center of the front that is a little more advanced than the rest of the hair.

line with input

We call line with entry to those front lines where there are receding zones. To understand it visually, they are the people with the familiar entrances. This, as we have mentioned before, is usually due to some type of alopecia which causes hair to fall out in that area and, consequently, it does not come out again.

The line with input draws a kind of rounded letter M.
